I just purchased my 1st website from Go Daddy. I had trouble trying to get the designer to correct some mistakes and it was launched with incorrect info. Now I either have to pay extra to get the info fixed correctly or wait for a month and have the correction done for free. Then I tried to find my site on search engines to no avail. I call godaddy and they tell me that the coding that was a service that was included in the price of the website had not been done. I have to ask them to put the code in myself.
Why hadn't the designer told me that when he finished the project? What good is a website if you can't find it?
Very lame..I will not use their services again.

I moved to Moscow, Russia and changed my internet service provider. In doing this I didn't know I would lose my Comcast email but did. While I was moving my things here, I only had my laptop computer which didn't have my customer number stored.
I needed to manage my domains and asked Godaddy several times for my customer number by email (they don't have an 800 number because they are TOO CHEAP for this) After emailing them 3-4 times, someone finally asks me to fill out their email change form and fax them ID.
I filled out this info, but their online form is screwed up and kept putting a name of a company I work for. I cleared cache and cookies and even used another browser, but it was from THEIR cache and not mine. Their form filled in this company I worked for that I had listed in my profile. They demanded I provide proof I am the business owner of this company!!
After telling them several times that this was a fault of their online form, I give up and email my friend to allow me access to my desktop computer from VPN. I was able to get my customer number, login, and change my email address. It took almost a week to get my customer number from Godaddy. I have called them many times before and each time they are the most awful, most rude, and most incompetent people I have ever dealt with.
Again, they do not have an 800 toll free number, no online support, and each one of their customer service reps are complete morons. They are probably underpaid, and under qualified for the job. Godaddy doesn't even have the industry standard interface "cPanel" and all of their server software is severely outdated.
If you are looking for no BS and someone that has good service, use namecheap.com for buying domain names and Host Gator for hosting. Host Gator is awesome when it comes to customer service. These guys are top-notch and available 24 hours a day by online chat. namecheap.com is also available 24/7 by chat.
Stay away from Godaddy.

Ok I admit it, I'm not an internet savvy individual, been with godaddy about 6 years. Last year I deleted one of my email accounts. and it just happened to be the contact account for godaddy. for over a year no one ever caught it. my website has a picture of a tree and a message from me stating I'll have this website up soon, been that way for about two years. I mainly use the email and fax service for my business.
Last month my credit card expired, I was on vacation, but I check my email accounts with godaddy every day. Today I'm waiting for a fax from a new customer. I finally get a message that the fax has been blocked. I go online and see my expired card on my account management page and put in another card. for an hour nothing happens. Im really anxious cuz I wanna give the new customer the quote that he wants.
This is a big customer. I'm talkin an extra 40k annually. The business day ends and no fax. I call godaddy and yes they have the fax. The support rep can even bring it up and read it. But if I want to read it I have to pay godaddy 150 dollars. I ADMIT, the choice words I had about his ancestors and parentage. And maybe the idea of where he could shove that fax and the best way to do it might have been out of line. But geez 150 bucks on a 21 dollar account, AND if I pay it right now they won't bother to send the fax till tomorrow afternoon. and he's sitting there reading it.
