I have been using Hostmonster for the last three years for my own site and about fifteen other sites I have. The only limitation (because the offer unlimited emails/domains/etc) is that they limit the file count to 200K files. That includes emails as well. It took me about 15 Joomla sites, plus several email accounts, to reach that limit. Just be aware of that limit. Most users won't come even close to that limit.

I uses Hostmonster and been OK for a while until hostmonster terminate my account without explaination and just lock the account at that same day. They don't give much explaination other than ask me to move hosting because my wordpress blog is using too much resource. Seriously, how much resource can a wordpress use in a personal blog? i now use Hostgator and been using it for more than a year without any problem nor resource problem like Hostmonster claim. I think hostmonster claim of unlimited bandwidth is conditional. Once your site get a huge hit per day they will kick you out of their hosting as well. * Not recommended hosting.

I have used Hostmonster for less than a year, and I must say that I am incredibly pleased with them. First off, I've NEVER had any unknown downtime, the only downtime I had was when they were updating several server components, and they emailed me AT LEAST 5 times before hand telling me what was going to happen and when. Their customer support has always helped me get through rough spots, and I am really glad to have gone with them. Simple Scripts is a cool feature that allows newbies to install forums, blogs, etc, with the click of a mouse button. Even though I have the knowledge and software to do this myself, SS has saved me a lot of time, and in some cases, a lot of hassles. My only complaint is that the cPanel interface seems to be a bit clunky and unorganized, and there's not much you can do about it, but that's just nitpicking. They have user forums, where users can share tricks and tips, and support one another. Both the forums and customer support have been incredibly helpful, and, for the price ($95 for a year), and the features, Hostmonster should be the first host of choice for many!
